How to Make a Reusable Sticker Book / DIY Sticker Book

I love stickers just as much as the next person.  They are great for collecting, scrapbooking or decorating your notebook.  However, as I have become a sticker creator, I realize that I may want to use the sticker again.

These simple reusable DIY sticker books are fun, easy and will allow you to reuse your stickers again and again.

How to Create a Reusable DIY Sticker Book

Materials:

  • Cardstock - I love using a Glitter Cardstock that is Double Sided, but any Color Cardstock that is Double Sided, sturdy and durable will work. I used paper that is 250 GSM (grams per square meter - which refers to the weight of the paper)
  • Wax Paper, Back of Adhesive Magnetic Sheets or Leftover Waxy Back Sheets from Office Labels - When I launched my first magnetic wallpaper panels, I realized there was a lot of waste in the paper you throw away to reveal the adhesive backing. This is a way that I can repurpose that paper. This works equally as well with the throw away from shipping labels or kitchen wax paper sheets (clear).
  • Glue Dots Brand Glue Lines double-sided adhesive - you only need this if using wax paper, or want firmer pages.
  • Scissors
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Hole Puncher - I used a 10-Hole Binding Machine Punch, but a regular hole puncher will also work.
  • Loose Leaf Binding Spines or Twine - I have used both Binding Spines & Twine, both work great!

  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Laminating Pouches (optional) - 5MIL Thermal Laminating Pouches (if you own a laminating machine) or Scotch Self-Sealing Laminating Pouches if you do not own a machine. I used Scotch TL901X Thermal Laminator

  • Thermal Laminator (optional)
  • Paper Corner Rounder 3 in 1 - Cuts 4mm, 7mm and 10mm Corner Radiuses.

Instructions:

Step One: Cover - First, decide what size sticker book you would like to make. I made one that is approximately 4x4 inches.  Use your ruler to measure and pencil mark the size you want on two* pieces of cardstock. The two pieces of cardstock will serve as your front and back cover. *If you are using kitchen wax paper for your project then you will need additional cardstock for your pages as well. Trim your cardstock to the appropriate size.

At this time, you can laminate your front and back cover if desired using laminating pouches. Trim laminate so that 1/4 inch border goes all around the cardstock.

Step Two: Sticker Pages - I simply cut the leftover waxy sheets I had from the back of adhesive magnets.  If you are using this or waxy back from label paper cut these sheets to size now (4 inches in my case).

Alternative Method: If you are using kitchen wax paper - grab additional sheets of cardstock from previous step that are already cut to size. Use these as a guide and cut your wax paper to the same size. Starting with the first page after your cover page, apply the double-sided adhesive in each corner of the page. Tape the wax paper down, smoothing it out to avoid wrinkles. Continue covering all of your pages in wax paper.

Step Three: Punch Holes Along the Side

Next, punch holes on one end of your cardstock & waxy paper sheets. I used a 10-Hole Punch, but if you only have a Single Hole Punch - measure and mark where you want the holes to be prior to punching.

Step Four: Bind

If you have Binding Spines, cut them down so that you have 10 loops, or you can cut them to individual pieces if only doing 3 holes.

Alternative Method: If you wish to use string or twine simply lace through the holes and tie the two ends together tightly at the end before cutting off the excess.

Step Five: Finish & Fill with Stickers!

Finish your sticker book by adding a fun sticker to the cover or decorating as you see fit. I used my Paper Corner Rounder and rounded the bottom two corners of all pages including the front and back cover. The millimeter radius size is up to you. I used 4mm for the cover photo. Trim off any excess paper as needed and fill your book with stickers!
